Energy-saving Technology

1.Improved cook stove:

Different types of 50-65% energy saving improved cook stoves have been developed. It can save 50-65% fuel. Under the Annual Development Project (ADP), more than 3,00,000 improved cook stoves have been disseminated and 15,000 people have been trained who are working in more than 300 institutions to disseminate improved cook stoves. For the activities on improved cook stoves BCSIR achieved National Environment Award in 2013.
